Evaluation of the Environmental Impact of Underground Gas Storage and Sequestration

Abstract

We evaluate the impact of underground gas sequestration from the geomechanical perspective. Long term records are available by interferometric radar (PSInSAR) analysis. These data have been used to develop a 3D geomechanical model. The calibration of the model parameters has been realized via a metamodel for reducing the computational burden, and optimizing the related prediction accuracy.
