Resonance and stress distribution calculation for automotive component with bolt and thermal prestressing load

Abstract

Nowadays time to develop component is becoming very short so dynamic methodology to simulate vibration test is growing its importance reducing time to market, increasing product quality and making company more competitive within automotive market.
This paper concern about a proposal of methodology that involve static, modal and harmonic analysis to simulate thermal and screw static clamp load within a prestressed stage, followed by subsequent harmonic analysis that simulate vibration acceleration test. General speaking this methodology is called prestressed harmonic analysis.
