Hydraulic matching of an engine cooling system for automotive application in advanced engineering

Abstract

Advanced engineering is the most proficient project phase in order to reduce technical risks and get time and money savings by extensive system level simulation.
But in order to accomplish this mission CAE engineers have to balance simulation reliabilty and complexity, focusing on most important performance drivers according to project schedule and keeping as simple as possibile their calculations models. In advanced engineering engine cooling system development can benefit usage of Flowmaster2 to match engine coolant hydraulic requirements, relying on basic models to be upgraded and tuned later on.
