One of the most pressing issues in business today is skills acquisition – both in the form of talented young problem solvers with skills and knowledge in new and emerging engineering simulation and industry 4.0 technologies, and also the reskilling and upskilling of existing team members. Hard skills in specific technologies and techniques, as well as the often mis-named “soft” skills regarding teamwork, innovative mindset, problem solving, and others are essential to enable organizations and industry to address the existing and nascent challenges of business and society today and in the future.
The Poster Award recognizes and awards the creative application of CAE technologies by students and was created to provide a forum to connect innovative new young thinkers in engineering with industrial enterprises where they are sought.
Participation is free and is open to students, graduates, researchers and faculty members from universities and research centers.
The tenth edition of the competition will again be held as part of the International CAE Conference and Exhibition, which takes place in a hybrid format this year, from November 17 to 19, 2021. This year presents an exciting new opportunity to present your projects to an even wider and more international audience and to interact with the participants, thanks to the features of the hybrid event’s ICT platform.
The finalist posters will be viewable on a public page of the conference website.
Note: Authors of conference papers, which have been accepted, may enter the International Poster Award only if submitting a different work from that selected for presentation at the conference.
The subject of the Poster is open and is not limited to any particular industrial sector, however each Poster entry submitted must focus on a study / research / project / case study where one or more types of CAE simulation software, either commercial and / or open source, have been used.
Posters are to be submitted in English, and must be of A1 (width 594 mm, height 841 mm) dimensions, in pdf format at 150 dpi and have a maximum size of 5MB).
The Poster must contain the following information:
- Title of the project / research
- Objectives of the project / research
- Results obtained
- Author(s) of the poster and their affiliations
By participating in this contest, academic institutions / research centers and individual entrants consent to the use of their personal data (name, surname, and association to the institution), the poster and its contents, and the acquisition and dissemination of photographic, digital, audio, video and multimedia materials, obtained during the activities related to the event, including any subsequent edition, for promotional and informational purposes.
